'Healing Through Somatic Attachment' Therapy Summit

In November of 2022, I attended a ‘Healing Through Somatic Attachment’ Therapy Summit.

Somatic Attachment Therapy is a modality that helps us build more intimate, safer and authentic relationships with ourselves and others. By taking a somatic approach to attachment therapy, we learn the tools to rewire our neural pathways and reconnect in the present moment, regardless of whatever experiences we have previously encountered in the past.

This summit brought together some of the world’s leading experts in somatic work and embodiment, including Dr. Aimie Apigian, Barbara Collier, Euphrasia “Efu” Nyaki, Dr. Albert Wong and Dr. Alayne Mikahere-Hall, with the intention of exploring the ways in which healing relational wounds can create a culture of connection, compassion and more nurturing relationships with those that matter to us most — our community, partners, family and friends.
